Setting up a new ArcadeBox at your branch

What you need

Step 1 โ€” Power it up

Plug in the box. Within a minute the light will either go SOLID (already knows this WiFi โ€” skip to Step 3) or start a SLOW PULSE (needs WiFi โ€” Step 2).

Step 2 โ€” Give it the venue WiFi (phone only)

  1. Phone WiFi settings โ†’ join ArcadeBox-N-Setup
  2. Browser โ†’ 192.168.4.1/wifi
  3. Pick the venue WiFi โ†’ password โ†’ Connect
  4. Light goes solid = it's on the network
โš  The venue router must have 2.4GHz WiFi enabled โ€” boxes cannot see 5GHz-only networks.

Step 3 โ€” Register it in the ArcadeBox app

  1. Open arcade.gamecityug.com and sign in
  2. Profile โ†’ Manage boxes โ†’ ๏ผ‹ Add a new box
  3. Fill in: name (e.g. "Station 7 โ€” PS4"), the box's address (ask Evans for the box's https URL), your branch, the WiFi name
  4. Save โ€” the box's square should turn ONLINE within seconds

Step 4 โ€” Ask the router to keep the box's address fixed

In the branch router's admin page, add a DHCP reservation for the box (its MAC address is on the label / registration card). This stops the address changing after power cuts. If unsure, send Evans the box's MAC and he'll talk you through it once.

Step 5 โ€” Test the money-maker

  1. In the app, tap the box โ†’ Start โ†’ 1 minute (custom)
  2. The TV should come alive within 5 seconds
  3. Wait out the minute โ†’ the TV must cut off by itself
